Put yourself in a time-out. It works for your kids (maybe, usually, sometimes
), so why wouldn’t it work for you? When we’re overwhelmed, upset, or at our breaking point we’re of no use to anyone–certainly not the people we’re caring for and definitely not for ourselves! Give yourself permission to hit the brakes and recharge. You and everyone around you will be better for it!
